Transformation of the Day: Breyanna lost 122 pounds. She wanted to be a healthier version of herself and see her Crohn’s disease go into remission. She made very practical changes to her eating habits and walked for exercise. Eventually, she worked her way up to running four miles straight.





What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?

My motivation for changing my lifestyle was to be a better version of myself, be healthier, and try to get into remission, as I suffer from Crohn’s disease.

 


How did you change your eating habits?

I would eat fast food or processed junk food at least 3-5 times a week, so I cut out the junk. I had a wake-up call when I got really sick from a Crohn’s flare-up and decided then that I did not want to suffer or feel sick all the time anymore. I began eating more yummy fruits and vegetables and completely eliminated pork and beef from my diet.


What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?

When I first began my journey, I walked every day at least a mile. Then, about a month into my journey, I began to go on longer and longer walks (my longest walk was 7.5 Miles). After a few months of walking, I wanted to see if I could attempt running. I worked my way up to running four miles straight. My workout plan currently is to run 2.5-3 Miles, 5-7 days a week. 

 

What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?

My starting weight was 286 pounds, and my current weight is 164 pounds.

 

What is your height?

I am 5’4″ tall.

 

When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?

I began my journey on March 24th, 2020.

 

Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?

Surgery was and is not apart of my journey.

 

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that the body is capable of many things. It’s just up to the mind to be determined. Another big lesson is that every day is a new day to try something new or amazing.

 

What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?

A piece of advice that really kept me going that I’d love to share with other women is that this is a journey and a new lifestyle. This is not something temporary, so I could either make it fun or beat myself up/make it boring. The choice is mine.
