Turkey and Cabbage Skillet Recipe

This one pot turkey and cabbage skillet is loaded with flavor from melted cheddar cheese, salty bacon and crisp scallions.

This makes a great sharing dish for everyone to get stuck in - perfect served with an avocado salad.

Ingredients:

Ground Turkey:14 ounce,(397g)
Bacon: 4 slice - 6" long,(32g or 1.13 oz)
Cabbage:3 cup,(450g or 15.87 oz)
Olive Oil: 1 tablespoon,(14g or 0.49 oz)
Garlic: 1 clove,(3g or 0.11 oz)
Red Onion: 1 tablespoon,(12g or 0.42 oz)
Cheddar Cheese: 1 cup, grated,(113g or 3.99 oz)
Scallions: 1 large,(25g or 0.88 oz)
Gourmet Collection Smoked Paprika by Mccormick:1 tsp
Cilantro:1 tablespoon
Vegetable Broth, Bouillon Or Consomme: ⅔ cup,(147g or 5.19 oz)
Black Pepper: ⅛ teaspoon
Salt, Sea Salt:⅛ teaspoon

Instructions:
1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over a medium/high heat. Roughly dice the bacon and add to the pan until cooked through and golden. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
2. Add the turkey to the pan with the bacon fat and cook through until just brown.
3. Finely dice the onion and mince the garlic. Add to the pan and stir well. Cook for a minute or two until just tender and fragrant.
4. Roughly slice the cabbage and add to the pan. Season and stir well to combine.
5. Add the paprika and stock and stir well. Bring to a simmer and cook for 6-8 minutes until the stock has completely reduced down.
6. Remove the pan from the heat and scatter over the grated cheese to melt.
7. Finely slice the scallions and scatter over the top of the cheese along with cooked bacon. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro to serve.
