Keto Shepherd Pie

No matter the weather, a classic shepherd's pie can bring comfort to anyone eating it. By preparing a recipe of cauliflower mash in advance, you can make a big shepherd's pie that will satisfy a whole family! You don’t have to be on a diet to enjoy this meal, either. A savory meat and veggie filling is topped off with creamy mashed cauliflower and melty cheese.

Ready In: 40 min

Yellow Onions:⅓ cup, chopped (53g or 1.88 oz)
Carrots Raw:½ cup, chopped (64g or 2.26 oz)
Butter: 1 tablespoon (14g or 0.5 oz)
Ground Sirloin:1 pound (454g or 16 oz)
Salt:¼ teaspoon (2g or 0.05 oz)
Black Pepper:½ tsp (1g or 0.04 oz)
Garlic:1 clove (3g or 0.11 oz)
Worcestershire Sauce: 2 teaspoon (11g or 0.4 oz)
Low Carb Cauliflower Mash:2 portions (214g or 7.55 oz)
Shredded Cheddar Cheese:¼ cup, shredded (28g or 1 oz)
Parsley Raw: 1 tbsp (4g or 0.13 oz)

1 Preheat an oven to 350 degrees. Chop the onion and carrots into small bite-sized pieces.
2. Melt the butter in a large skillet, and toss in the onion and carrot. Cover the skillet, and cook until the onions are transparent.
3. Add in the ground sirloin, salt, pepper, and garlic to the skillet. Cook through until the beef is browned and some liquid has risen. Make sure the beef is broken up.
4. Spray a shallow pie tin or some type of oven safe baking dish. Pour in the ground sirloin mix, including some of the juices. Drizzle the worcestershire sauce over the filling.
5. Top the filling off with the prepared cauliflower mash, and spread it out with a wooden spoon or spatula. Finally, top everything off with the shredded cheddar cheese.
6. Bake the shepherd’s pie for 25 minutes. Set it under a high broiler for 5 minutes to brown the edges and cheese. Serve hot with freshly chopped parsley!
